HERMON and BANGOR – Pauline M. Carr, 75, of Hermon, a resident of Bangor for many years, died Sept. 1, 2004, at an Orono healthcare center. She was born Sept. 22, 1928, in Lincoln, the daughter of Victor and Kathryn Mary (Bishop) Ardine. The trumpet sounded, the angels danced and the pearly white gates opened for Pauline Mary (Ardine) Carr. She was embraced by her Lord whom she worshipped with great dedication. The Lord spoke and said “Come my child, your work on earth is done.” Polly worked for many years at a nursing home attending to the needs of the elderly. She was also instrumental in starting the family business Carr’s Movers. She was dedicated to her family and taught us all Godly values and a zest for life. Surviving are her husband, Clarence C. Carr Jr. of Hermon; eight children, Linda Quimby and companion, Richard Lancaster, of Bangor, Louise Eldridge of Brewer, Cynthia Clark and husband, Frank, of Kittery, Susan Carr of Orlando, Fla., Caryn Murphy of Bangor, Russell Carr of Hampden, David Carr of Bangor, Jon Carr and wife, Kathie, of Scarborough, 18 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mary Lou LaPointe of Florida, Barbara LaPointe of New Hampshire; six brothers, Victor Ardine Jr. of Winn, Albert Ardine of Massachusetts, Francis Ardine of Howland, Jerry Ardine of Michigan, Reginald Currie of West Enfield and Donald Ardine of Glenburn; several nieces and nephews. Polly was predeceased by a baby daughter, Kathy; a baby grandson, Kevin; one granddaughter, Nekia; and one brother, Clifford. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, at the Abundant Life Church, 1404 Broadway, Bangor. Interment will be in the Marston Cemetery, Orrington.
