STOCKHOLM – Peter Brian Bossie, 53, died Feb. 4, 2005, at his Stockholm residence following a brief illness. He was born Nov. 29, 1951, in Van Buren the son of Edwin and Lucie (Gagnon) Bossie. He attended the Stockholm school, was a 1970 graduate of Caribou High School and was a graduate of Northern Maine Community College. Peter was a self-employed electrical, plumbing and building contractor in the area. He was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and was also a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. He served for several years as a selectman for the town of Stockholm. Peter was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his family and friends at his camp on Madawaska Lake. He will be fondly remembered by many for his generous spirit and willingness to always lend a hand. He married Rhonda (Levesque) Bossie Feb. 3, 1973. Surviving in addition to his wife of Stockholm; is one son, Chad Bossie of Stockholm; two daughters, Krista Bossie of Portland and Morgan Bossie of Stockholm; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and Wendy Bossie of Stockholm, James and Doris Bossie of Stockholm and Richard and Joanne Bossie of Caribou; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Delmar Bossie of Bangor and Anne and Michael Sandstrom of Cross Lake; his mother-in-law, Pauline Blake of Barrington N.H.; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Peter will be sadly missed by his special canine companion, Baloo. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday, at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005, from the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Fr. David Raymond, officiating. Interment will be in St. Theresa’s Cemetery, Stockholm. Friends who wish to contribute in Peter’s memory may do so through the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Oncology Dept. Envelopes are available through funeral home.
