FORT FAIRFIELD and EASTON – Peter Wilmont Shaw, 45, beloved husband of Kathy Shaw, died unexpectedly Monday, April 17, 2006, at Fort Fairfield. He was born June 7, 1960, at Presque Isle, the son of Lloyd and Lois (Carmichael) Shaw. Peter was a graduate of Easton High School, Class of 1978, and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Navy. He was married to Kathy Philbrook July 18, 1992, and had been employed by the Presque Isle Solid Waster Transfer Station for 20 years. Peter deeply and truly loved his wife, Kathy; their dog, “Diesel”; and cats, “Casey” and “Finnigan.” Peter was predeceased by his father, Lloyd G. Shaw; three brothers, Trent, Kim and Matthew Shaw and is survived by his wife of 15 years, Kathy (Philbrook) Shaw of Fort Fairfield; his mother, Lois (Carmichael) Shaw of Easton; seven brothers, Storme Shaw and his wife, Linda, of Charleston, Timothy Andrew Shaw of Franklin, Pa., Mark John Shaw and wife, Jackie, of Mapleton, Stephen Paul and David James Shaw, both of Easton, Philip Daniel Shaw and his wife, Lisa, of Caribou, Michael Jonathan Shaw of Easton; one sister, Sarah Polley of Seeley’s Cove, New Brunswick, Canada; several nieces and nephews. In keeping with Peter’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Peter to a charity or organization of one’s choice. Arrangements are in the care of Dorsey Funeral Home, Fort Fairfield.
