The Family Of PHILIP ‘CORVETTE’ NORTON Wished to extend sincere gratitude to all who showed their love and deepest concerns during and after Phil’s courageous battle with cancer. The love and kindness he gave other’s came back to him more than we ever imagined possible. Thank you for the many welcomed visits, cards, calls of concerns, food, flowers, prayers and money that was so generously bestowed upon us. The support received throughout our community, friends and family touched our hearts so much. From the family cook-outs, benefit supper put on by the Addison Fire Department auxiliary, car show and cook-out given by Dean and Jean McGray and friends to the services of Phil’s “Celebration of Life” officiated by a good friend, Pastor George Woodward of Jonesport, whom we’re so grateful for his spiritual love and comfort. Our thanks to the masons of Jonesport Masonic Lodge No. 188 for their Masonic Services led by Allen Alley Jr., Worshiful Master, Debbie Kelley of Beals for beautifully singing Phil’s favorite hymns, “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Amazing Grace” at his bedside and at his service. It was also very touching what Fred Seaborn and Obbie Davis said at the service on Phil’s behalf. We’d also like to think the caring nurses from Sunrise County Health Center, Sandi Anderson, Wanda Bradford, Ann Todd and Maria Brann for their continued dedication and compassion throughout our difficult time. Thank you to all our family for their love and support. They were our strength as well as our best friends, especially in our time of need. We feel very blessed for all our family and friends. We’d also like to thank a special friend, Priscilla Tibbetts for her being there for us unconditionally and to Dr. Kathleen Pelkey for all her calls and visits of great concern as a friend. There was a very special uncle, named Kenny MacLean who passed away just two days after Phil, whom we’d like for his family to know how much Phil appreciated his friendship and how we all felt honored to know him. They both were loving husbands, fathers and grandfathers and friends to all they knew. They will remain in our hearts forever. Thank you and may God bless you all. Lovingly, Wife Christy, Son, Cutis and Family and All the Norton Family
