ORRINGTON – Philip J. Baxter, 56, passed away unexpectedly Feb. 13, 2007, at his home. Philip was born Sept. 11, 1950, in Farmington, the son of William and Doris (Sanborn) Baxter. Philip was employed as a bookkeeper for many years. At the time of his death he was self-employed as a chimney sweep. His most enjoyable moments were times spent at his camp on Manhanock Pond, Parkman. Philip is survived by his wife of 20 years, Lois Baxter of Orrington; his children, Shane Baxter and wife, Vicky, of Sangerville and Melodie Rand and husband, John, of Sidney; stepchildren, Andrea Kelly of Cartersville, Ga., and Jeff Kelly of Ellsworth. Philip is also survived by four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Those who wish to remember Phil may make a donation to a charity of their choice.
