GLENBURN – Phyllis Page, wife of the late Henry Page, passed away peacefully March 7, 2008, with many of her loved ones at her side, after a brief illness. She was born May 7, 1926, in Hermon, the daughter of Harry “Jud” Applebee and Marion (Hills) Applebee. Mrs. Page was a member of the Hermon and Levant historical societies, the Frances Dighton Williams Chapter of the DAR, and Hermon Garden Club. Henry and Phyllis operated a dairy farm on Odlin Road, Bangor, for more than 25 years. They also made and sold Page Farms Cottage Cheese in Central Maine for that period. Surviving are one daughter, Lois Cole and her husband, Richard, of Etna; two sons, Gerry Page and his wife, Charlotte, of Jay, and Daniel Page of Jacksonville, Fla.; three stepchildren, Henry Page Jr. and his wife, Debbie, of Newton Square, Pa., Helen Page of Harpswell and San Diego, and Allen Page of Virginia Beach, Va.; two sisters, Pauline Hoover of Florida and Katherine Baron of Glenburn; a sister-in-law, Harriett Applebee of Hermon; a brother-in-law, Clarence “Sid” Heath of Glenburn; grandchildren, David Page of Portland, Robin Dufour of Winthrop, Michael and Ryan Page of Florida, and Denise Woodhead Metcalf of Steep Falls; stepgrandchildren, Cheryl Page Onofrio and Henry Page III of Pennsylvania, and Christopher Page of Tennessee; seven great-grandchildren, two great-stepgrandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Phyllis was predeceased by two sisters, Ruth Applebee and Bernice Heath; a brother, Harold Applebee; and a daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Sereyko Page. A service in celebration of her life will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Stanley Griffin, pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church, Exeter, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments after the service at Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor.
