ORONO and LUDLOW, Vt. Phyllis G. Agan, beloved sister, aunt and friend, born Feb. 2, 1920, in Orono, passed away May 2, 2008, at her home in Ludlow, Vt. She will be remembered by her family and friends as someone who was artistic and creative, especially in all forms of needlework and sewing. She loved flower gardening and was a long-standing member of Ludlow Garden Club. She was a volunteer to her church and a generous contributor to worthy causes. Phyllis was a member of Allen District Pomona No. 5 Black River Grange and Keystone Chapter No. 5, Order of the Eastern Star. Phyllis was predeceased by her beloved husband, William W. Agan, March 3, 1991; one sister and three brothers. Surviving are her sisters, Joanne Curran of Michigan, and Patricia and Peter Sutphen of Texas; a brother, Michael Goo-dine of Rhode Island; nieces, nephews and other extended family members. Phyllis would have wanted to give profound and everlasting thanks and appreciation to lifetime friends, Robert and Patricia Kirkbride, for their extraordinary support; to Iggy and Ann Matulonis, for their enduring friendship; and also her faithful caregivers, Beverly Butler, Dianne Johnson and Nancy M. Martel. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. May 7 at Adams & Kenney Funeral Home, Ludlow, Vt., with Father William Beau-din officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be after at Pleasantview Cemetery, Ludlow, Vt.
