HOULTON – Phyllis P. Wolhaupter, 87, died Sept. 2, 2005, at a local hospital. She was born June 20, 1918, at Wicklow, N.B. Canada, the daughter of John and Catherine (Armstrong) Fulton. Phyllis lived in Bath before her family moved to Woodstock where she graduated from high school and vocational school. In the late 1940’s she and her husband Ervin and their two sons moved to Houlton where she spent many years working in retail. After retiring, she and Ervin began spending the winters in Florida. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing cards, especially Auction Forty-Five and enjoyed the weekly game in Debec. Phyllis is survived by her two sons, John Wolhaupter of Port Townsend, Wash., Stuart Wolhaupter of Cape Canaveral, Fla. and Houlton; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Ervin, her nine brothers and sisters. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Evergreen Cemetery.
