BANGOR – Priscilla M. Booth, 62, beloved wife and life partner of David Booth, died Sept. 27, 2006, after a courageous five and one half year battle with ovarian cancer. She died surrounded by the people who loved her, at home. She was born Jan. 3, 1944, in Hartford, Conn., the daughter of Paul and Dorothy (VanDyke) Bentley. She grew up in New Britain, Conn., where she met her husband. Priscilla had a sense of humor that was often offbeat but was enjoyed by everyone who knew her. Anyone who came into contact with her recognized her infectious laugh. Priscilla received a great deal of enjoyment from her work in the lunch room at the Doughty Middle School, which she continued to refer to as “Fifth Street,” where she developed close relationships with many of the students and enjoyed all of her relationships with the staff, especially the other “lunch ladies.” She had been helping out in her husband’s office for the last eight years and quickly made friends with everyone she talked to. Priscilla had many strong opinions and was not hesitant about telling other people what she thought. She was not afraid to express her opinions to politicians and encouraged others to do the same. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Priscilla leaves her husband; three daughters, Cathy Rimcoski of Bristol, Conn., Kimberly Brennan of Manchester and Jennifer Booth of Colchester, Vt.; five grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Colin, Matthew and Kaela Brennan, Kevin and Eric Rimcoski; her oldest sister, Martha Zink of South Glastonbury, Conn. She had a large number of special friends, who included Norma Crichton, Amelia Gonyer, Diana and Sidney Stather. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her older sister, Nancy Hunt. Friends may call 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, with the Rev. Richard McLaughlin, pastor of St. John’s Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com
