BURLINGTON , Conn. – Priscilla (Vaillancourt) Belanger, 74, of Burlington, peacefully went to be with her Lord surrounded by her family on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003. She was the wife of the late William Belanger to whom she was married 56 years. Mrs. Belanger was born Nov. 4, 1929, in Eagle Lake, the daughter of the late Percy and Laudia (Saucier) Vaillancourt. Raised in Eagle Lake, she lived in New Britain, Conn. from 1965 until moving to Burlington in 1984. While residing in Connecticut, she spent summers in Eagle Lake. She had a love for the elderly, working as a nurses’ aide, and she worked for Interim Health Care for 18 years. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Bristol. Mrs. Belanger is survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law, Irene Reeves-Murray of Burlington, Tiny Burns of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., Mary and Glenn Devoe of Forestville and Nancy and Brad Pike of Burlington; two adopted sons, Gary Woodward of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and Frankie Potter of Nashua, N.H.; two sisters, Hazel Martin of Eagle Lake and Pearl Paradis of Boston, Mass.; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three children, Martha, Jeannette, and David Belanger. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, at Liberty Baptist Church. The burial will take place on July 3, 2004, in St. Joseph Cemetery in Wallagrass.
