RALPH A. GARDNER SOUTH CAIRO, N.Y. – Ralph A. Gardner, 48, formally of Hampden, died June 6, 2005, in New York. He was born July 6, 1956, in Brunswick, son of Shirley Gardner and Lenora A. (Hitchcock) Gardner. Ralph is survived by his best friend and partner, Erick Engelhardt; father, Shirley Gardner and his wife, Bette; his children, Tara L. Quimby, Zachary J. Gardner, Adam R. Gardner, Elisha M. Engelhardt, Elixis A. Engelhardt and Travis Engelhardt; one grandson, Nathan A. Gardner; brothers, Roger L. Gardner, Robert R. Gardner and Alex Brehm; and his former wife, Brenda L. Martin, of Hampden; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, John Gardner; and his mother, Lenora Gardner. Ralph was a great son, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and partner, he will be sadly missed and loved by all his family and friends. A service of remembrance will be held 10 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2005, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
