BANGOR – Ralph Cyril Scott Sr., 82, died June 27, 2007, in Bangor. He was born Oct. 1, 1924, in Bangor, the son of Hubert William and Alta (Dymond) Scott. Ralph graduated from Bangor High School, Class of 1942. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II stationed in the Philippines and discharged in 1945. Ralph worked as a foremen in numerous shoe factories around Bangor and was a driver for the City of Bangor Bus Division since 1986. He was a die-hard Red Sox, Celtic and New England Patriots fan and an avid pool and cribbage player. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Beverly (Talbot) Scott; a daughter, Peggy Scott of Tucson, Ariz.; two sons, Ralph Jr. and wife, Lynda, of Benton and Edward of Bangor; a stepson, Bill Carter of Bangor; a stepdaughter, Michelle (Jenkins) Parker and husband, Leon, of White Plains, N.Y.; a sister, Lois (Scott) Holuta and husband, Jack, of Mansfield, Ohio; six grandchildren, Heather (Scott) McFarlin, Brandon Scott, Hannah (Scott) Cammack of Portland, Jonathan Scott of Albion, Alicia Scott of Waterville and Sonya (Scott) Woods and husband, Harry, of Dexter; four stepgrandchildren, Andre DeLeon, Brian, Jason and Tara Parker; one great-grandchild, Emily McFarlin; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ralph was predeceased by his parents; a daughter, Susanne; stepdaughter, Karlene (Carter) Young; two sisters, Gwendolyn (Scott) Mitchell, and Geraldine (Scott) Hobson and her son, Harry; and two brothers, Verner and Hubert Scott. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 2, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, with the Rev. John Wingert, Rector of St. John’s Episcopal Church, officiating.
