LEESBURG, Fla. and EAST MILLINOCKET – Ralph Gratton Fayle died Dec. 1, 2004. Mr. Fayle was born June 21, 1925, in East Millinocket, the son of Earl Robert Fayle Sr. and Eula (Newell) Fayle, and was the husband of the late Joan (Bilodeau) Fayle. Mr. Fayle served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Although he lived in Florida during the winter months, he returned to his native Maine each spring to spend the summer months where he felt the most at home. Mr. Fayle was an avid boater and fisherman and had a wonderful sense of humor. He is survived by his daughters, Pamela Thompson and Thurza Fayle of Maryland; his sister, Thurza Knaide of Brewer; his brother, Robert Fayle II, of East Millinocket; two granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters.
