PRESQUE ISLE – Ralph W. Shaw, 73, died Thursday, June 29, 2006, at a Presque Isle healthcare facility. He was born May 11, 1933, in Presque Isle, the son of Wesley and Bertha (Carmichael) Shaw. Ralph worked for area farmers for many years. In his spare time Ralph enjoyed the Senior Citizens Club, making jewelry, watching wrestling, gardening, mowing and playing cards, especially UNO. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and a great friend who loved helping people. He is survived by his wife, Marian (Robinson) Shaw of Presque Isle; a son, Paul Robinson of Georgia; a daughter, Betty Grant of Bridgeport, Conn.; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruby Beachman of Texas; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy McBrearity. There will be no services at this time.
