HERMON – Randall Scott LaPlante, 40, died unexpectedly Sept. 18, 2006, at his Hermon home. He was born Sept. 6, 1966, in Farm-ington, the son of Rene and Virginia (Bradbury) LaPlante. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard for four years. He had been employed at Barber Foods in Portland until he and his family moved to Hermon in 2004. He had currently started LaPlante Designs and worked from home as a web designer. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Wendy (Dunifer) LaPlante; his son, Brandon LaPlante; his daughter, CaSandra LaPlante, all of Hermon; his mother, Virginia Allen of Winter Harbor; a sister, Connie Quesinberry of Texas; two brothers and their wives, Thomas and Cheri Umel of Dedham, Timothy and Tiffany Linscott of Milbridge; his in-laws, Bruce and Charlotte Dunifer of Hermon; sister-in-law and husband, Samantha and Roland Thibodeau of Caribou; a niece and nephew, Erica and Ryan Cyr of Caribou. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, at the Hermon Baptist Church, 2496 Route 2, Hermon, with Pastor Garnett Chute officiating. Interment will be at Snow’s Corner Cemetery, Hermon. There will be a gathering at the home of Bruce and Charlotte Dunifer, 177 Swan Road, Hermon, after the services.
