DOVER, N.H. – Raymond C. Allen, 69, of Portland Avenue, passed away July 7, 2007, with his family members by his side at his home. He was born Jan. 24 1938, in Presque Isle, the son of Clayton R. Allen and Katherine (Parker) Rediker. Raymond served in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany and was honorably discharged in January 1959. Raymond served as a chef at the University of Maine – Presque Isle and the Hotel Caribou for several years. He loved to fly fish and passed his knowledge on to his children. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Marilynn (Con-don) Allen; his loving daughters, Teresa R. Craft of Presque Isle, Tanya LaPointe and her husband, Bryan, of Presque Isle and Sandra D. Allen of Newton, N.C.; three sons, Steven R. Allen, Todd W. Allen and his wife, Nichole, and Scott A. Allen, all of Dover, N.H.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; his bro-ther, John “Jack” H. Allen of Presque Isle; his sister, Brenda Allen Gay and her husband, Fred, of St. Stephens, New Brunswick, several nieces and nephews. Raymond was predeceased by both his parents; and a brother, Richard Allen. There are no calling hours and a memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, at Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave., Dover, N.H., with the Rev. Ed Vaeni officiating. There will be a gathering for friends and family 2-4 p.m. Saturday, July 21, at 290 Skyway St., Skyway Trailer Park, Lot No. 43, Presque Isle.
