WOODLAND – Raymond J. Ledue, 61, died Nov. 5, 2004, at his Woodland residence, following a long illness. He was born Oct. 5, 1943, at Douglas, Mass., the son of Joseph D. and Rose (Trudeau) Ledue. He was a graduate of the Douglas high school in Douglas, Mass. Raymond served with the U.S. Army from 1962-1965 during the Vietnam War and Okanvia. He was a member of the Special Forces and a member of the Reserves and the National Guard. He owned and operated B&L Salvage in Douglas, Mass. from 1970 to 1988 and was also employed at Lane Construction Co. in Presque Isle until 2002. Raymond was a Boy Scout leader from 1981 to 1983 for Troop 134, Mohegan Council of Worcester, Mass. He married Mary Jane (Robson) Ledue on July 22, 1967. Surviving in addition to his wife of Woodland, are one son and daughter-in-law, Mark D. and Renee’ Ledue, of Caribou; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Lance Ellison of Woodland, and Karin and Steve Furno of Millville, Mass; one brother, Ernest Garneau of Blackstone, Mass; three sisters, Marie Cohen of Escardo, Calif.; Rita Beauverst of Woonsocket, R.I. and Alice Susskey of Uxbridge, Mass.; three grandchildren, Kyle Ledue, Miranda Ellison and Melissa Furno. He will be sadly missed by his dog, Cindy. Friends may call 11 a.m. until time of service, Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. from the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Rennie Tichnor, officiating. Interment will take place at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery.
