LISBON FALLS and BANGOR – Raymond K. Sproul, 62, died Oct. 16, 2003, at his home. He was born April 18, 1941, in Bangor, the son of Kenneth and Ethel (Mooney) Sproul. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and retired after 231/2 years of service. Raymond loved his cats and gardening. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Karen (Taylor) Sproul, whom he married on Dec. 12, 1975; six children, Daniel Sproul, George Sproul, Angela (Sproul) Delmar, Lizzetta Hart, Jennifer Wilkinson, and Robert Chapman; numerous grandchildren; two sisters, Carole Brassard and Marilyn Sproul; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2003, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor where funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Monday, with Rev. Thomas Lequin, pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor, following the services.
