EASTBROOK – Raymond M. Bragdon, 87, passed away peacefully Oct. 19, 2007, at Courtland Rehab and Living Center, Ellsworth. He was born April 3, 1920, in Livermore, the son of the late Melvin and Sadie (Bartlett) Bragdon. Raymond was a member of Greenwood Grange, Eastbrook. He loved antique cars and enjoyed reconditioning them. Raymond also enjoyed gardening, handpicking blueberries, listening to music and playing the guitar. Raymond was predeceased by his loving wife, Evelyn Bragdon in 2001; and two brothers, Meltiah and George Bragdon. He is survived by his son, Herbert Bragdon and wife, Jane Clark-Bragdon, of Hatties-burg, Miss.; daughters, Nancy B. Willy of Eastbrook and Rebecca Stanslaus and husband, Ivan, of Bangor; two grandsons, Michael Bragdon and wife, Michi, of Boonton, N.J., and Christopher Lambert and wife, Judy, of Bangor; great-grandchildren, Damian and MacKenzie Lambert of Bangor; one brother, Erlon Bragdon and wife, Janet, of Livermore Falls; many nieces, nephews; and special friends, Fran Durand of Mount Holly, N.J., and Virginia Wilbur of Eastbrook. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at Sunnyside Cemetery, Eastbrook. All those who wish may make a donation in Raymond’s memory to their local humane society or Greenwood Grange, Eastbrook.
