DANFORTH – Rebecca Florence White, 80, died Dec. 22, 2004, at her daughter’s home in Wingdale, N.Y. She was born March 14, 1924, in Danforth, the daughter of Florence (Lee) and Sylvester Muncey. She worked as a therapy aide at Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center in Wingdale, for 24 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of the Danforth United Methodist Church and the Danforth American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by four children, Alton White Sr. of Lagrangeville, N.Y., Helen B. Chase of Wingdale, N.Y., Joann Martell of Brushton, N.Y. and Lillian Moore of Hancock; one brother, James Muncey of Wingdale, N.Y.; three sisters, Marion Knights of Wingdale, Margaret St. Onge of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and Gloria Irish of Danforth; 15 grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by four sons, Morris White Jr., George White, Allan White, Martin White; two daughters, Ellen and Dorothy White; one brother, Gerald Muncey and two sisters, Amelia Lowe and Vera Bonner. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, at the Hufcut Funeral Home, Main St., Dover Plains, N.Y. Graveside services will be held in the spring at Danforth Cemetery, Danforth.
