MILLINOCKET – Rene Pelletier, 79, passed away Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004, unexpectedly at his home. He was born July 8, 1925, in Frenchville the son of Antoine and Marie-Anne (Fournier) Pelletier. Rene retired from Great Northern Paper Company in 1987, after 42 years of employment. He was a communicant of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, and a member of the Knights of Columbus, council No. 680. He was also a member of the Millinocket Lodge No. 1521, B.P.O.E. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to pick berries. Rene was a loving and caring family man, who will be missed greatly. He is survived by his loving wife, Tootsie of Millinocket; his son, Robert Pelletier of Berlin, N.H.; his daughter, Dianne and her husband, Dan Smith, of Hillsboro, N.H.; 11 brothers, Fernand and his wife, Irene Pelletier, of Lewiston, Clarence and his wife, Claudette Pelletier, of Lewiston, Leonide and his wife, Toni Pelletier, of East Millinocket, Leonard and his wife, Pauline Pelletier, of Danville, Lucien and his wife, Charlene, of Oxford, Laurier, Donald Pelletier, Ives Pelletier, Gaetan Pelletier, Gille Pelletier, and Michel Pelletier, all of Quebec; four sisters, Theresa Thibault of Lewiston, Germaine and her husband, Armand Morrisette, of Greene, Lucienne Wright of Bath, and Nicole Pelletier of Quebec; six grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Jack; four brothers, Laurent, Percy, Patrick, and Alphee; three sisters, Rita, Bertha, and Merielle. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Millinocket.
