GLENBURN – Retired Chief Master Sgt. Frank E. Blaisdell, 88, died Thursday, July 10, 2008, at a Brewer health care facility. He was born May 17, 1920, in Bangor, the son of Leo and Irene (Annis) Blaisdell. Frank was a proud veteran serving in World War II, the Korean War and retiring from the Air National Guard. He had a great love for home and was an avid outdoorsman. Frank was a member of Rising Virtue Lodge No. 10 AF & AM and Anah Shriners. He will always be remembered as a loving husband and devoted caretaker to his wife, Bert. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Rob-erta “Bert” Blaisdell; children, Judith Bennett and her husband, Steve, of Navarre, Fla., Larry Jordan and his wife, Margaret, of Newburgh, Brent Jordan and his wife, Gloria, of China Lake, Frank Blaisdell and his wife, Linda, of Hermon and Brenda Blaisdell and her husband, Doug, of Clifton Park, N.Y.; brothers, Dick, Gene and Del; sister, Helen; 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Sandy Arsenault; infant daughter, Jody; and brother, Charles. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with Dr. Rex Garrett, director of Chaplaincy services at Eastern Maine Medical Center, officiating. A Masonic memorial service will be conducted by the officers and members of Rising Virtue Lodge. Internment will be after at Locust Grove Cemetery, Hampden.
