RICHARD A. CIANCHETTE PITTSFIELD – Richard A. Cianchette, 50, of Pittsfield, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Nov. 3, 1953, in Bangor, the son of Clair L. and Ethel (Morrison) Cianchette. He worked as a carpenter and millwright in the construction industry for years. He was a longtime member of the Pittsfield Elks Lodge and an avid fisherman. He was formerly married to Dorothy (Moulton) Woods. He is survived by a son, Eric Cianchette of Scarborough; two daughters, Jenny Gironda and husband, John, of Gorham, Heidi Cianchette of Scarborough; his mother, Ethel Cianchette of Pittsfield; two brothers, Daniel Cianchette and wife, Martha, of St. Paul, Minn., Robert Cianchette and wife, Hillary, of New York City; two sisters, Melissa Cianchette of Newport, Elizabeth Cianchette and husband, Vernon Bradley, of St. Paul, Minn.; a granddaughter, Mia Higgins of Scarborough; three nephews, Chris Mitchell of Pittsfield, Daniel and Adam Cianchette of Baltimore, Md. A memorial service will be held 9:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26 2003, at Donald H. Shorey Funeral Chapel, 35 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield, with the Rev. William Johnson officiating. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
