CARIBOU – Richard Beaulieu, 72, died unexpectedly, May 26, 2004, at Caribou. He was born at Caribou, June 23, 1931, the son of Fred and Eva (Caron) Beaulieu. He was educated in the Caribou school system and was a self-employed contractor in the Caribou area for more than 50 years. Richard was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and was a life member of the Caribou Lions Club where he also served as past president. He loved the outdoors and loved to garden. He was an avid four wheeler and was a member several local ATV clubs. Richard is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Sheila Beaulieu, of Caribou; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marcy and Dana Hersey and Marla and Joe Kovack, both of Caribou; one brother, Louis Beaulieu of Caribou; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Beaulieu of Woodland and Helen Boulier of Massachusetts; five grandchildren, 10 great-grand-children, several nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by his wife, Lucille Beaulieu on Feb. 20, 2003; and two brothers, Lawrence Beaulieu and Paul Boulier. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday, at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Private family funeral services will be held Saturday, May 29, 2004, from the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home, with the Fr. Jean-Paul Labrie, pastor, officiating. Interment will take place in the New Holy Rosary Cemetery. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Richard may do so through the American Heart Association or to the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes may be obtained through the funeral home.
