BAR HARBOR – Richard H. Silk, 56, died April 16, 2004, at a Bangor hospital surrounded by his family. He was born March 9, 1948, in Bar Harbor, the son of John W. and Barbara (Rodick) Silk. Richard was a graduate of Bar Harbor High School. He owned Dicks Plumbing in Bar Harbor. Richard enjoyed fishing, hunting and being with his friends. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Silk of Bar Harbor; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Corinne Carr; his beloved wife of 29 years, Mary (Carr) Silk; two daughters, Jana and Ashley Silk; twin brother, John Silk; two sisters, Jane Hauer and her husband, Bill, and Nancy Goodwin and her husband, David, all of Bar Harbor; a special nephew, Shawn Young; and several other nieces and nephews. It was Richard’s request that services will be private and at the convenience of the family. If friend’s desire, the family suggests that instead of contributions, you should allow more time with your loved ones. Arrangements by Jordan-Fernald, 48 Eden St., Bar Harbor.
