BANGOR – Richard R. Forsyth, 69, died at home Feb. 11, 2005, “doing his thing,” after a long illness with heart disease. He was born Dec. 4, 1935, in Brewer, the son of Charles W. and Madeline (Rivers) Forsythe. Richard served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the Calais American Legion Post No. 3; and the BPOE No. 224. Surviving are his wife, Phyllis J. (Rand) Forsyth of Bangor; one son, William C. Rand and his wife, Jacqlyn, of Bradley; one sister, Maxine Huntley of Hampden; five grandchildren, Cassandra Robichaud; Mallorie Robichaud; Ryan Forsyth; Brian Rand and Tyler Rand; one great-grandson, James; two nephews; and one niece. He was predeceased by a son, Wayne Forsyth; and a nephew, Darrell Huntley. At his request services will be private. Gifts in his memory may be sent to the Bangor Humane Society, 693 Mt.
