SOUTHWEST HARBOR – Richard W. Noyes Sr., 82, died June 2, 2005, at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital. He was born April 23, 1923, in Manset, the son of John A. and June H. (Dolliver) Noyes. In his younger years, Richard worked at Stanley Fish Wharf, where he cut and packed fish and he helped dig the ponds in Manset, that were used to sluice ice as well. Richard went on to work as an electrician for Hinckley Yacht for 15 years. He loved gardening and enjoyed taking care of his bees. He was self-taught and could fix and build anything he wanted. Some of these things were their first color TV and his Ham radio equipment, he was known as WIUCD. Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Marion (Swan) Noyes of Southwest Harbor; one son, Clifford Noyes and his wife, Crystal, of Southwest Harbor; one daughter, Bonnie and her husband, Paul St. Clair, of Portland; one brother, Leonard Noyes and his wife, Charlotte, of Augusta; and one sister, Barbara Godwin, of Manset. six grandchildren, Jason, Timothy, Todd and Nicholas St. Clair and Abe and Wilder Noyes; two great-grandchil-dren, Trevor and Marilyn St. Clair; and many nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by a son, Richard Jr. Friends are invited to call 4:30-6 p.m., Sunday, June 5, 2005, at Jordan-Fernald, 1139 Main St., Mt. Desert. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m., Monday at Mount Height Cemetery, Southwest Harbor with Pastor Bob Maddocks, officiating.
