SACO – Rita B. Burtt, 59, of Hill Street, died Thursday, June 2, 2005, at her home after a long battle with lung cancer. She was born Aug. 25, 1945, in Fort Kent, a daughter of Oscar and Isabelle Dubois Bouchard, She was educated in Fort Fairfield schools, and came to this area in 1997. She was employed at the Sheraton Hotel in South Portland as a dining room supervisor. On June 30, 2001, she married Wayne R. Burtt in Saco. Rita was predeceased by two sisters, Freda Ehrnst in 1992; and Viola Caron in 2003. Surviving are her husband, Wayne R. Burtt, of Saco; one son, Alfred E. Wood Jr., of Mass.; one brother, Randolph Bouchard and his wife, Claudia, of Westfield; two sisters, Judy Burlock and her husband, Cary, of Levant, Nancy Gagne and her husband, Ron, of Portland; one granddaughter, Ashlee Marie Wood, of Westfield; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Fairmont Cemetery, Presque Isle. Arrangements are by Alpha Cremation Service, 480 Elm St., Biddeford.
