ASHLAND – Rita Campbell, 54, died Jan. 23, 2005, at her Ashland residence after a long illness. She was born July 15, 1950, in St. Agatha, the daughter of Reno and Murielle (Pelletier) Michaud. Rita was a 1968 graduate of Wisdom High School in St. Agatha. She was employed as a waitress for many years for various Ashland area restaurants, including the Four Seasons and the Ashland Diner. She also worked as a clerk at Burrell’s Clipping Service in Presque Isle for a number of years. In addition to her mother of Frenchville, Rita is survived by her husband, David A. Campbell of Ashland; two sisters, Lorraine Thibodeau of Van Buren and Theresa Corriveau of Massachusetts; four brothers, John Paul Michaud of Frenchville, James Michaud and Bernard Michaud, both of Massachusetts, and Richard Michaud of Fort Kent. At her request, there will be no calling hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Mark Catholic Church, Ashland, with Fr. Michael Hinken, SOLT, pastor, celebrant. Spring interment will be in the Ashland Municipal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to a fund established in her memory at Norstate Federal Credit Union, Station Hill, Ashland, 04732.
