EAST MILLINOCKET and NEWPORT – Robert “Bobby” Thompson, 55, went home to be with the Lord, Oct. 26, 2004, after a long illness. He was born, Nov. 27, 1948, in Millinocket, the son of Ruben and Pauline (Coon) Thompson of East Millinocket. Bobby attended Schenck High School. He enjoyed cooking, arts and crafts, and yard sales. He spent his last days with his loving, devoted daughters and his sister, Patty and her family. He will be missed by his family and special friends, John Whaldron, Frank Rollins, Marshall and Donna Fonseca, Heidi Bradley, Latona, Bridgit, and Larry Gray. Bobby is survived by three daughters, Carrie-Ann of Bangor, Ashley Nicole and Shannon, both of Hermon; two grandchildren, Josh and Kellie; four sisters, Roene and husband, Faye Trueworthy of Hermon, Patty and husband, Russell Ireland of Chester, Irene and husband, Alvin Philbrook of Mattawamkeag, JoAnn and husband, Rodney Lane of Sherman Mills; four brothers, Jack and wife, Norma Jean of Medway, Carl of Bangor, Terry of Mattawamkeag, and James of Orland; nieces and nephews, Faith, Katrina, Gerald, Tonya, Jeremy, Tyra, Jack, Cindy, Alvin, Todd, Pauline, Samantha, Scott, J.R., Kari, Lacy, Troy, Christina, Kara, and Kayla; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Bobby was predeceased by his parents and one niece, Brittney. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Memorial services will be private. Immediately following all are invited for refreshments at the home of Patty Ireland on Route 116 in Chester (4 houses past Lori’s Market).
