ROBERT B. SMITH SR. EDDINGTON – Robert B. Smith Sr., 58, husband of Judith A. (Bragg) Smith, died Dec. 31, 2003, at his home in Eddington. He was born May 18, 1945, in Brewer, the son of Louis and Lillian M. (Hatt) Smith. Robert worked as a truck driver for Norman E. Whitney, RH Foster and CN Brown for several years and also worked as a bus driver. He was a member of the Old Town American Legion and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Post No. 3177, Brewer. Robert was an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping, lobstering and shooting pool. Surviving, in addition to his wife of Eddington, are five children, Robert Smith Jr. of Brewer, Michael Smith and Wendi, of Eddington, Michelle Ouellette and her husband, Jeff, of Bangor, Shane Smith of Bangor and Tammy Hoyt and her husband, Doug, of Bangor; 12 grandchildren, Bobbie-Jo, Kelly, Kimberly, Robert, Christopher and Nicholas Smith, Michael and Matthew Ouellette, Kaitlin Smith, Anna Henry, Reyanne and Regan Hoyt; one brother, Roger Smith and his wife, Gloria, of Eddington; one sister, Dorothy Barbee and her husband, Joe, of Milford; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers, Louis, Ronald and James; and one sister, Loretta Facemeyer. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2004, at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Roger Ackerson, of the Apostolic Lighthouse Church, officiating.
