PLYMOUTH – Robert L. “Bob” Small, 72, died Sept. 5, 2006, at a Bangor hospital, after a long illness. He was born April 18, 1934, in Plymouth, the son of Dana and Edna Small. He was educated in schools in Plymouth and was a graduate of Newport High School. Bob was a self employed farmer in the Plymouth area for many years until his retirement due to ill health. He will be remembered by his former wife, Betty (Brewster) Small. He is survived by three sons, Paul Small and his wife, Christina, of Etna, Lyndon Small of New Hampshire, Bobbie Small of Pennsylvania; one sister, Ruth Tasker of Dixmont; one sister-in-law, Mary Small of Corinna; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by three children, Freddie, Joanna and Holly; a brother, Dana; and a sister, Violet. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, at Brown Funeral Home, 34 High St., Newport. Graveside funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at the Sawyer Cemetery, Plymouth with the Rev. Robert Carlson officiating.
