BANGOR – Robert Rosebush, 65, husband of Darlene Rosebush, died June 27, 2008, with his family by his side, at his home. He was born Nov. 21, 1942, in Reed Plantation, son of Leon and Mildred (Coro) Rosebush. Robert was a 4-H parent and volunteered for more than 20 years serving the organization and community with numerous building projects at the Bangor State Fair. His favorite pastime was raising cows. Robert had a varied career in farming; aircraft parts assembly for Howmet Corp., New Jersey; maintenance chief for Bancroft and Martin, Brewer; crew foreman for Bangor Water District; and business owner of Bob’s Exxon, Milford. Surviving in addition to his wife, Darlene; are one daughter, Julie Ginn and husband, Shane, of Bucksport; two sons, Robert Jr. and friend, Alexis, of Hampden and Vance and wife, Cherie, of Harrisburg, Pa.; five grandchildren, Casey, Jesse, Stevie, Ryan and Zoe; sisters, Frances, Bessie and Ann of Old Town, Mildred, Stella and Charity of Orono, Edith of Auburn and Irene of Millinocket; brothers, Lewis of Orono, Gene and Danny of Bethlehem, N.H.; and his beloved cat, Jake. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Monday, June 30, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Roland Nadeau, Catholic chaplain at St. Joseph Hospital, officiating. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments immediately after the service Monday at Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor.
