HAYNESVILLE – Robert E. Heller Sr., 80, died Oct. 25, 2005, at a local hospital. He was born Feb. 25, 1925, in Wilmington, Del., the son of Harry and Clara (Van Sant) Heller. Bob served in the Army during World War II as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne 501th infantry. He was decorated by both the Dutch and French governments earning the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He is survived by one son, Robert Jr. and his wife, Janice, of Houlton; three daughters, Diane Hoskins of Linneus, Marian Buono and her husband, David, of Andover, Pa., C. Regina Brown and her husband, Michael, of Houlton; eight grandchildren, Joseph Hoskins Jr., Susan Wood, David Buono Jr., Michael Buono, Michelle Buono, Isaac Brown and Seth Brown; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Leon W. Heller of New Castle, Del.; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Regina A. Heller and his son-in-law, Joseph Hoskins. Private funeral services will be held at the Dunn Funeral Home. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
