LINCOLN – Robert L. Burridge, 77, husband of the late Flossie (Gibbs) Burridge, died Oct. 25, 2003, at a Lincoln hospital. He was born in Braintree, Vt., July 10, 1926, the son of Ernest and Anna (Sears) Burridge. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Robert was a member of the DAV and the NRA, and he also enjoyed hunting. He is survived by two daughters, Roberta Leonard and her husband, David, of Howland, and Anna Jenkins and her husband, Richard, of Beulaville, N.C.; two sisters, Esther Boberg of Wisconsin, and Elise Mitchell of Indiana; 10 grandchildren, Joey Leonard, Joan Leonard, Kenny Leonard, Matthew Leonard, John Leonard, Amy Washburn, Shaun Washburn, Myron Wadleigh Jr., Robert Wadleigh and Melinda Wadleigh; 16 great-grandchildren, Cregan Leonard, Reese Leonard, Shawn Ireland, Rachel Ireland, Kelly Ireland, Jeffrey Handy, Br‚Anna Leonard, Zachary Leonard, Chelsie Chandonait, Michael Durrstein, Brandon Himes, Blake Shyver, Austin Wadleigh, Katie Wadleigh, Hayley Wadleigh and Hunter Wadleigh. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Charles Burridge; and two sisters, Edith Sicardo and Ethel Lapan. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003, at the Community Evangel Temple, Access Road, Lincoln, with the Rev. Tim Shaw officiating.
