ROBERT L. COUSINS

BLUE HILL – Robert L. Cousins, 73, died May 25, 2006, at a Penobscot healthcare facility. He was born Aug. 7, 1932, in Blue Hill, the son of Lowell Jacob and Florence Velma (Mason) Cousins. He owned and operated R. L. Cousins & Sons in Blue Hill. He held the bus contract for 25 years and was road commissioner for seven years in Blue Hill. He was past director of the Blue Hill Fair and was a member of the Blue Hill Lodge. Robert is survived by two sons, William Cousins and companion, Linda Pert, of Blue Hill, Robert and companion, Teresa Torrey, of Ellsworth; daughter, Mary Ellen “Mamie” Pert of Franklin; special friend, Phyllis Pemberton of Blue Hill; sister, Lois Welch of Lee; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, at Mountain View Cemetery in Blue Hill. Arrangements by Jordan-Fernald, 141 South St., Blue Hill.
