APOLLO BEACH, Fla. – Robert L. Crossman Sr., 63, died Sept. 2, 2004, in an automobile accident near his home in Apollo Beach, Fla. He was born Oct. 17, 1940, in Bangor, the son of Gladys (Doble) Crossman and Merle Crossman. Bob attended Bangor schools and spent his earlier years in Bangor, Waterville and Lewiston areas and then settled in Florida. At the time of his death, he owned a real estate appraisal company. Bob had a great love for outdoor activities including archery boating and hunting. He is survived by three daughters, Lisa and her husband, Steven Treadwell, of Carmel, Libby Chandler of Prospect, Stacy Guerette of Sabattus; one stepson, Jim Fletcher and wife, Tena, of Interlachen, Fla.; one son, Robert L. Crossman Jr. of Florida; grandchildren, Amy and Donald Chandler of Florida, Jacob and Ian Treadwell of Carmel, Darcy, Jaime and Katherine Thayer of Sabattus, Jimi, Chayce, Daniel and Coty Fletcher and Vincent Crossman, all of Florida; one great-grandson, Nathen Chandler of Florida; his companion, Susan Brereton of Apollo Beach, Fla., four sisters, Phyllis Keough of Brunswick, Barbara Mitchell of Bangor, Natalie Oliver of Ovid, N.Y., Freda DeFord of Hartland; three brothers, George Crossman and Frederick Crossman of Virginia Beach, Va. and Edward Crossman of Las Vegas, Nev.; one uncle, Ralph Doble of Bangor; several nieces and nephews. Bob will be deeply missed by Margaret McInnis of Bangor, whom he thought of as his mother. He was predeceased by one stepson, Frederick Fletcher. Committal services will be private.
