PRESQUE ISLE – Robert Lee Dufour, 83, died Wednesday morning Jan. 24, 2007, at a Caribou health care facility after a long illness. He was born May 10, 1923, at Edmundston, New Brunswick, the son of Fred and Rose Ann (Landry) Dufour. Mr. Dufour worked as a baker and a chef for Don Aucoin, ABC Bakery and the University of Maine – Presque Isle. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and an active 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Presque Isle. He is survived by four sons, Roger of Presque Isle, John and his wife, Debbie, of Mapleton, Maurice of Mapleton and Kenneth of Caribou; three brothers, Albert Dufour of St. Basil, New Brunswick, Allain and Alfred Dufour of Montreal, Ontario; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Theresa (Levesque) Dufour; and two sisters, Alfreda Cunningham and Rosealine Dufour. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Raymond Morency, celebrant.
