BANGOR – Maj. Robert W. Daigle, U.S. Army retired, 76, died June 12, 2006. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Katherine (Folks) Daigle of Bangor; daughter, Sharon Daigle of Bangor; son, Kevin Daigle and his wife, Rachel Daigle, of Exeter; daughter, Theresa Levasseur and her husband, Rick Levasseur and their children, Amanda and Robert Eli of Bangor; daughter, Joanna Katz and her husband, William Katz and their children, David Katz and Jamie Lynn Katz and her husband, Mark Messer and their children, Julie Ann and Kurt, all of Ekron, Ky. Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, June 15, at St. John’s Catholic Church, 207 York St., Bangor with the Rev. Roland Nadeau officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor after the service. A burial ceremony with military honors will be held noon Tuesday, June 20, in the chapel of the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta.
