DEXTER – Rodney E. “Buddy” Huntt Jr., 57, went home to be with the Lord, Aug. 3, 2006, in Dexter, after a long illness. He was born Nov. 23, 1948, in Washington D.C., son of Rodney and Stella (Chapman) Huntt Sr. He served in the U.S. Army for 10 years and later worked for Dexter Shoe Co., Dexter. Rodney was a member of the Disabled American Veteran’s Association, the American Legion and of the First Free Baptist Church, Dexter. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Dawn (Taylor) Huntt of Dexter; two sons, Bernie Huntt and his wife, Lynn, and their two daughters, Morgan and Dylan, of Leonardtown, Md. and Joel Huntt of Portland; one daughter, Whitney Huntt of Orono and Justin; a sister, Cecilia Kramer of Chester, Md.; a brother, Steve Huntt of Orange Park, Fla.; two stepsons, Donald Swain of Montgomery Village, Md. and Richard Swain of Davison, Mich.; 10 stepgrandchildren and one great-step grandson, Landon Swain of Sunnyvale, Calif.; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main St., Dexter. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Free Baptist Church, Dexter, with the Rev.
