BELMONT – Rodney V. Edmands Sr., 62, died Friday, May 26, 2006, at a Bangor hospital due to heart surgery complications. He graduated from Crosby High School in Belfast in 1962. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1964 to 1967 and was stationed in Ramstein Air Base in Germany. He worked at Champion Lumber Mill in Bucksport for 24 years. He loved his family very much. He was an avid junk collector, a master plumber and jack of all trades. He loved life, loved to laugh and play practical jokes. Rodney is survived by his wife and best friend of 49 years, whom he loved very much, Barbara Edmands of Belmont; his three children, Annette Edmands of Waldo, Rodney V. Edmands Jr. of Belmont, Monica Loring of Searsmont; four grandchildren, Peter Patten and Ian Patten of Belfast, Briahna and Hunter Loring of Searsmont; many nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 29, at Faith Temple Church of God, Lincolnville Avenue, Belfast, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday with Bishop Charles Hall officiating.
