BIRCH HARBOR – Roger A. Young, 63, died at an Ellsworth hospital Dec. 21, 2003, following a long illness. He was born at Birch Harbor, July 10, 1940, the son of Kenneth and Ella (Bickford) Young. Roger was a lobster fisherman his entire life and loved his time on the water. He is survived by his three daughters, Tracie L. Young and her fianc‚, Shawn D. Jordan of Ellsworth, Debbie Scott and her husband, Randy, of Birch Harbor, and Vicki Young and her fianc‚, Timothy J. Manning, of Hancock; three grandchildren, Joshua Scott, Alexis Handy and Andrew Jordan; a half sister, Patricia Butler and her husband, Charles, of Hancock; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, at the Birch Harbor Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of his daughter, Vicki Young, 273 Old Route One, Hancock, ME 04640.
