PROSPECT – Roger D. Brown Sr., 54, died Nov. 16, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. He was born March 8, 1950, in Bangor, the son of Elden and Arlene (Lyford) Brown. Roger was employed as a papermaker in Bucksport for more than 27 years. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren whether hunting, four wheeling, or watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. Spending time with his family and friends was what he enjoyed the most. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Judy Brown of Prospect; two sons, Roger Brown Jr. and his wife, Debbie, and Travis Brown and his wife, Tammy, all of Prospect; a daughter, Jaime Smith and her husband, Steve of Bucksport; grandsons, Roger Brown III, Alexander Brown, Elden Brown, and Spencer Brown; stepgrandchildren, Kayla Ashworth, Terra Ashworth, and Andrew Atherton; two sisters, Marilyn Bridges and Marion Hood, both of Prospect; three brothers, Paul Brown of Brooks, Raymond Brown of Swanville, and Alden Brown of Jackson; several nieces and nephews. Roger was predeceased by his parents; three brothers; and one sister. Visitation for family and friends will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, at the Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport, where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, with Rev. Jon Ouellette officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Prospect.
