HAMLIN – Roger D. Cormier, 53, died unexpectedly Jan. 14, 2008, at his residence in Hamlin. He was born Nov. 13, 1954, in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, the son of Joseph and Jeanne D’Arc (Levasseur) Cormier. He was educated in Van Buren schools and was a 1973 graduate of Van Buren District High School. Roger was employed as an aircraft support mechanic in Alaska for most of his working life. He had returned to Maine in 2003. In addition to his mother of Hamlin; he is survived by one brother, Robert Cormier and his wife, Charlene, of Hamlin; one niece, Tanya Elliot and her husband, John, of Albany; and four nephews, James Cyr Jr. and his wife, Katie, of Bethel, Dean Cormier of Westbrook, Adam Cormier of Hamlin, and Nicholas Cormier of Van Buren. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a sister, Joan Drummond. Relatives and friends may call 9 a.m. Saturday until time of service at Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
