MILLINOCKET – Roger David Pelletier, 58, went home to his family in Heaven April 30, 2005, at the Millinocket Regional Hospital, after a long illness. He was born Dec. 10, 1946, in Old Town, the son of Peter J. and Nellie Pelletier. Roger was a graduate of Old Town High, Class of 1966. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a Vietnam veteran. Roger worked for Dead River Company for many years. Roger was a wonderful husband and dedicated father. He enjoyed delivering for Meals for Me and volunteering at I Care Ministries. Roger was an avid sport fan, cheering for his favorite team the Atlanta Braves. Roger is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Kathy (Albert) and by the “apple of his eye” daughter, Carrissa Ann; father and mother-in-law, Runt and Shirley Albert; brothers-in-law, Steve Albert and wife, Sue and Charlie Powers and wife, Cathy. He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Roland; and his sisters, Alma, Geraldine, and Margaret. He will be missed by several nieces and nephews, who were close to his heart. Roger had many wonderful friends and neighbors, especially Tom and Carolyn Donley’s family and Sally Dillion’s family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roger’s memory to the Katahdin Area Support Group. A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at the Hillcrest Church of the Nazarene, 134 Forest Avenue, Millinocket.
