SOLDIER POND – Roland Beaulieu, 64, died Aug. 30, 2004, at a Madawaska healthcare facility. He was born June 16, 1940, in Fort Kent, the son of Alfred and Ernestine (Voisine) Beaulieu. Roland belonged to the Catholic Order of Foresters of 52 years in Wallagrass. He is survived by his mother, Ernestine Beaulieu of Fort Kent; one sister, Mrs. Rena Daigle and her husband, Richard, of Bristol, Conn.; five brothers, Carl and Ann of Soldier Pond, Harold of Soldier Pond, Dana and his wife, Hilda, of Soldier Pond, Rodney and his wife, Ellen, of Plantsville, Conn., and Alan and his wife, Lucy, of Soldier Pond; many nieces and nephews. Roland was predeceased by his father, Alfred in 2004; two sisters, Jennie in 1949 and Ellen in 1960; a sister-in-law, Joyce, in 1995 and a nephew, Marc, in 1996. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Soldier Pond with the Rev. Bill Labbe officiating. There will be no visitations at the funeral home Thursday prior to the funeral. Friends are invited to go directly to the Church for the funeral service. Committal services will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. In Roland’s memory those who wish may donate to the Kidney Foundation of Maine, PO Box 1134, Portland, ME 04104. Envelopes will be available at the Church. Arrangements are being handled by the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home in Fort Kent.
