CHERRYFIELD – Ronald C. Beal, 69, passed away unexpectedly Sept. 2, 2006, at his residence. He was born June 24, 1937, in Jonesport, the son of the late Basil O. and Florence R. (Farnsworth) Beal. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1955 to 1963. Ron and his wife, Joanne, lived in the Maryland area from the late 1960s to 1980, when they moved to Jonesport. He was a member of the JonesportWesleyan Church and a member of the Jonesport Ambulance. Ron was sole owner of Ron Beal and Sons Construction. He was semi retired and was working for CountyConcrete. He was a very hard worker. Ron was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cherryfield and a member of the Down East Camp of Giddeon International. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Joanne (Crowley) Beal of Cherryfield; sons, Michael Beal of Addison, Steve Beal of Ellsworth and Ronald B. Beal and wife, Annette, of Holiday, Fla.; grandchildren, Michael C. Beal and Kimberly Beal, both of Addison, Daniel Beal and wife, Davya, and Christopher Beal, all of Port St. Lucy, Fla., Jennifer Martir of Orlando, Fla. and Nicholas Beal of Ellsworth; great-grandchildren, Bianca Beal and Meskah Beal of Port St. Lucy, Fla., and Kane Michael Lee Clark of Milbridge; brother, Randy Beal of Calais; and numerous friends and family. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra Ann Beal; and a granddaughter, Stephanie Ann Beal. Visiting hours will take place 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Main Street, Milbridge. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, at the First Baptist Church of Cherryfield officiated by Pastor George Woodward and Pastor Eric Harvey.
