EAGLE LAKE – Ronald N. Morneault Sr., 68, passed away June 10, 2008, at his residence, after a long battle with lung disease. He was born Oct. 6, 1939, at Eagle Lake, the son of Jermaine and Aurore (Albert) Morneault. Ronald was a very loving, caring, supportive family oriented husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. He was a 3rd Degree member of Knights of Columbus, Eagle Lake and 4th Degree member of Knights of Columbus Council 352, Fort Kent. He always loved working in the woods as a truck driver, and crane and skidder operator. He also loved to fish, hunt, play solitaire and cards with his granddaughters. He loved his family and his dog pooch. He was very close to his sister-in-law, Elizabeth Albert, who helped care for him. Ronald is survived by his wife of 47 years, Violet (Jandreau) Morneault of Eagle Lake; daughter, Lori Belanger and her husband, Gary, of Portage; son, Ronald Morneault Jr. and his wife, Suzanne, of Winterville; three sisters, Brenda Price and her husband, T.R., Rella Boutot, and Anne Nadeau and her husband, Dana; seven special granddaughters, Melissa, Mindy, Shannon, Elizabeth, Kelsie, Mackenzie and Faith. He was predeceased by his parents; and one brother, Richard Morneault. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday, June 13, and 8-9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 14, at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, June 14, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Eagle Lake. A committal service with full 4th Degree Knights of Columbus honors will be after at the parish cemetery.
