PLAINVILLE, Conn., and ST. JOHN – Ronnie J. Berube, 48, died accidental-ly Aug. 30, 2007, in Bristol, Conn. He was born Dec. 10, 1958, in Fort Kent, the son of Dora (Dumond) Berube and the late Vinnie J. Berube. Ronnie enjoyed doing his carpentry work and he especially loved the outdoors and adventure. He loved fishing, hunting and snowmobiling. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he received the Rifle Sharpshooter Marksmanship Badge while completing his infantry combat course at the Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, Calif. and served with Co. I. 3dBn, 8thMar, 2dMar Div (Rein) FMF, CLNC. He is survived by his mother, Dora (Dumond) Berube of St. John; a special little girl, Victoria Mann of Connecticut; four sisters, Connie Thibodeau and her friend, Bud, Annie Spranzo and her husband, Michael, both of New Britain, Conn., Jennie Ouellette and her husband, Raymond, of St. John and Fannie Charette and her husband, Terry, of Westminister, Colo.; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his father, Vinnie J. Berube; and two sisters, Tammie and Bonnie. At the request of the family, there will be no viewing at the funeral home. Family and friends are asked to attend a Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m. Sept. 11, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. A committal service with full military honors will be held after at St. John Catholic Cemetery, St. John. Those who wish may donate in his memory to Ronnie J. Berube Burial Fund, care of Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, 14 East Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743. Envelopes will be available at the church.
