BREWER and MERIDEN, Conn. – Rosemarie Mills, 73, wife of the late Herbert E. “Sandy” Mills, died April 8, 2004, at a Bangor hospital after a brief illness. She was born July 25, 1930, in Patten, the daughter of Frank W. and Alice M. (Greenier) Roberts. Rose was a resident of Meriden, Conn., for most of her life where she was dedicated to taking care of her husband, Sandy, for many years during his illness and she moved back to Maine in 1997. Rose enjoyed reading, sewing and gardening. Surviving are four children, Andrea Salmon of Kezar Falls, Michael Rossignol of Florida, Suzanne Rossignol of North Conway, N.H., and Kathryn DeManche and her husband, John, of Meriden, Conn.; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Adams, James Salmon, Matthew, Melissa and Marc Rossignol, Allyson and Kayla Locke, Sarah and Nicholas DeManche; one brother and one sister, William Frank Roberts and Evelyn Roberts, both of Brewer; a nephew, Mark Roberts and his wife, Madeline, of Brewer Lake; a niece, Melanie Gray and her husband, Chris, of Bangor; one cousin, Annette Roberts of Glenburn. She will be remembered by a special friend, Louise Giddings of Brewer. She was predeceased by a sister, Annie Roberts in 2000. Friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 12, 2004, at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer where a memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be at a later date in Connecticut. Rose’s family wishes to thank the loving people who helped take care of her.
